PANCOSMA BROADERS THE ANIMAL NUTRITION
Pancosma research has discovered and proved beyond doubt that the gut is a sensory organ with essential functions for the animal. By combining traditional nutrition with immunology, microbiology and neurology, we have demonstrated how the gut is able to perceive its environment and adapt to it, and how this knowledge can be used to enhance nutritional supplementation sympathetically for improved animal performance.
THE GUT SENSES ITS ENVIRONMENT
Some molecules present in the lumen (e.g. nutrients, bacteria and specific molecules such as additives, etc…) are recognized by gut receptors. This stimulates messages that are transported and amplified by a number of mechanisms (e.g. gut neurons, peptides, etc…), inducing responses in other parts of the gut without any interaction with the central nervous system.
