The diversity of phytomolecules is impressive - over 35,000 terpenoids, more
than 12,000 alkaloids and several irons and phenylpropanoids. Pancosma is undertaking
considerable research to fully understand the functional roles of some of these
compounds contained in purified standardized extracts of plants as new feed additives
and veterinary drugs.
new concept palatants
Many molecules can be used to formulate the ideal in-feed palatant. These include
sweeteners, aromatic and gustatory flavours, potentiators, amongst several other
different categories.
Pancosma’s new concept concerns the development of new ingredient combinations
to achieve a three-dimensional global sensorial effect. The result is an increased
stimulation to eat, therefore, potentially improving feed intake and performance.
This form of sensory stimulation is called “synesthesia”.

of trace elements in human nutrition and human health. Veterinary research and
farm experiments, in various international conditions, updates our understanding
of mineral metabolism in animals. Our experience in the analysis of organic sources
of minerals is upgraded with recent and powerful analytical methods. Pancosma
transfers this expertise to the requirements of modern animal production in order
to satisfy the expectations of the farmer and the feed manufacturer.
